This is a Third Shift Position 10:00PM-6:30AM Sunday-Thursday
Third shift receives a 2.00 shift differential
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the setup and operation of the facility machines.
- Perform continuous quality checks and audits. These checks and audits must be conducted in the beginning, middle, and end of a roll. In addition, quality checks and audits must be completed for welded products.
- Load coils onto the uncoiler; weld the coil properly and safely.
- Prepare proper labels (i.e., Made in the USA, Haydon/Anvil, material profile) for production and ensure stamps are correct for the products needed.
- Ensure flow of operations to efficiently yield production.
- Cut, weld, and run material through machines.
- Troubleshoot and adjust the facility machines, as needed. If unable to troubleshoot within a reasonable amount of time, report issues to supervisor or maintenance immediately.
- Remove welded and unwelded strut from mill then bundle, strap, and package.
- Perform roll changes.
- Assist with the Cutter and Die Changes.
- Ensure Haydon or Anvil labels are filled out correctly and placed on completed bundles.
- Weld together completed strut pieces to create a reinforced strut.
Qualifications:
- Commitment to safety and to adhere to all safety rules.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 Years manufacturing experience operating machines.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and ensure accuracy.
- Demonstrates ability to work in team, treat colleagues with respect and has a high level of accountability / punctuality.
- Proven record of strong attendance.
- Willingness to be cross-trained and rotate through all business functions as required by business needs.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to read and write.
- Must be able to use measuring devices (micrometer, caliper, measuring tape, etc.)
- Ability to learn how to troubleshoot basic machine issues so that the associate can eventually independently troubleshoot the machines.
