This is a 1st shift role 5:00AM - 3:30PM Monday - Thursday.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the setup and operation of the mills and welding machines. Perform continuous quality checks and audits. These checks and audits must be conducted in the beginning, middle, and end of a roll. In addition, quality checks and audits must be completed for welded products.
- Load coils onto the uncoiler; weld the coil properly and safely.
- Ensure flow of operations to efficiently yield production.
- Remove welded and unwelded strut from mill then bundle, strap, and package.
- Perform roll changes.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 Years manufacturing experience operating machines.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and ensure accuracy.
- Demonstrates ability to work in team, treat colleagues with respect and has a high level of accountability / punctuality.
- Proven record of strong attendance.
- Willingness to be cross-trained and rotate through all business functions as required by business needs.
Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards:
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
- Must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ability to withstand repetitive movements such as bending and lifting.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to co-lift up to 50 lbs. repetitive and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
