Established Iowa City law firm seeking permanent, full-time assistant to help with reception, general clerical duties, and billing. Hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
Qualities:
- Strong attention to detail
- Aptitude for organizing and prioritizing tasks from numerous sources in a fast-paced setting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Warm and professional customer service skills
- Ability to answer and manage phone calls on a multi-line system
- Familiarity with Windows-based computing
- Capacity to sort, alphabetize and file records based on existing systems
Responsibilities:
- Keep client materials up to date and files organized for multiple attorneys
- Update and process files to be archived or activated
- Run billing reports and issue Statements of Account
- Assemble outgoing invoices
- Process payments and prepare daily bank deposit
- Ensure timely processing of incoming and outgoing mail
- Answer phones and route calls during business hours
