Automotive/Diesel Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive service and repair, with expertise in both mechanical and electrical systems. This role is essential for maintaining the performance and safety of our customers' vehicles, ensuring they receive top-notch service in a timely manner.

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including passenger cars and light trucks.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot automotive electrical systems, using schematics to identify issues effectively.
• Conduct comprehensive inspections to assess vehicle condition and recommend necessary repairs.
• Utilize power tools and equipment safely and efficiently to perform repairs and installations.
• Repair or replace damaged components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and exhaust systems.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality service delivery in a fast-paced environment.
• Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through ongoing training.

Experience

• Proven experience in automotive service and repair is required; dealership experience is a plus.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work on diesel engine repairs preferred.
• Familiarity with welding techniques is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment to assess vehicle issues accurately.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams effectively.
• A valid driver's license is required; ASE certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: Up to $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
