Job Description
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Handling Assistant to join our team at Hayes Company / Knight-Swift Warehousing and Fulfillment. As a Material Handling Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of materials within the warehouse or production facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading, unloading, organizing, and delivering materials, ensuring inventory accuracy.
- Maintaining records of materials received and shipped, including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information.
- Reviewing shipments for quality and accuracy; reviewing accompanying documents for accuracy.
- Transporting and loading materials, supplies, and finished goods using hand trucks, forklifts, and skids.
- Fulfilling and packing customer orders using RF scanners.
- Retrieving products from overstock locations and restocking departments picking locations.
Requirements:
- Ability to drive different types of forklifts (stand-up, sit-down).
