Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential support to patients in their homes. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Observe and report changes in patients' conditions or behaviors to the healthcare team.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary requirements.
- Launder clothing and linens as needed to maintain a clean living environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for patients.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care activities.
- Assist with mobility by lifting or transferring patients safely when necessary.
- Administer CPR and basic first aid when required, ensuring patient safety at all times.
- Support hospice care needs by providing compassionate end-of-life assistance.
Skills
- Proficiency in assisting with ADLs and patient observation techniques.
- Knowledge of medical documentation practices and systems for maintaining medical records.
- Experience in meal preparation tailored to individual dietary needs.
- Ability to perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundering and cleaning.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on empathy and communication.
- Certification in CPR is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is essential.
- Familiarity with hospice care principles is a plus but not required.
