As a Research & Development Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, planning, and executing engineering lab or vehicle tests, analyzing data, publishing reports, and gathering and translating market data and competitive intelligence into new products. Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and validate test methods by designing lab and vehicle tests, selecting equipment, and running experiments.
- Analyze results, interpret data, draw conclusions, and publish reports with recommendations.
- Conduct market research to gather competitive intelligence and identify industry trends.
- Transform technological improvements into prototype designs and evaluations.
- Document key decisions and ensure smooth progression of R&D component releases.
- Execute projects following Technology Readiness Level (TRL) guidelines to transition new technologies.
- Maintain technical relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
- Document and teach best practices for testing procedures.
Education, Skills, Experience, and Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent required; 3-5 years of experience preferred.
