Haymarket Center is the largest not-for-profit community-based adult detoxification, residential, and outpatient substance abuse treatment facility in Chicago. Haymarket Center has continued to grow into a comprehensive alcohol and other drug treatment organization, licensed by the state of Illinois, which receives funding from the private sector, as well as city, county, state and federal agencies. The treatment programs are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitative Facilities (CARF). This a four ten-hour day position.
WORK DESCRIPTION:
Screen callers to determine appropriateness for treatment, referral needs, and appointments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•Screen callers to determine their needs
•Ability to discuss all programming
•Answer all callers questions regarding Haymarket Center to refer to appropriate staff
•Schedule patient for assessment
•Seek supervision from Director when necessary
•Other duties as required for effective team work or as assigned by Director
•Must speak clearly and able to pass messages clearly
•Must have exceptional customer service
•Must be able to multi-task and detail oriented
•Well versed in program descriptions, talking to callers about different programs
•Well versed in which MCO policies are accepted at Haymarket Center
•Knowledge of acceptable funding sources and able to check initial funding eligibility
•Track number of incoming calls, number of calls converted to appointments, and maintain all call stats
•Able to manage and schedule of assessments
•Document in system, call information into Carelogic
•Process and distribute all incoming faxes
•Conduct REMINDER calls about appointment, when time
•Call hospitals and other facilities letting them know open beds, when time
•Must be able to work flexible hours, days, and cover extra shift if needed
•Must work well as part of a team and work well with the Director and all staff

•High School diploma or equivalent

Salary : $17 - $23
