We are seeking an Emotional Wellbeing Aide to join our team at HAYNES FAMILY OF PROGRAMS INC. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the emotional wellbeing of our students, ensuring they feel safe and supported in their learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor classrooms or students as assigned and intervene proactively with classroom removal, counseling, and classroom return.
- Closely collaborate with teachers and the behavior team to ensure effective plans of intervention and behavior management.
- Document student behaviors, identify, and systematically track target behaviors.
- Provide essential support to clients under Program Services during non-school hours and school closures.
- Establish positive and nurturing relationships with students within professional boundaries and in accordance with school policies and boundaries.
Requirements:
- Two or more years of prior experience working with emotionally disturbed adolescents/children is preferred.
- A working knowledge of crisis intervention skills and medical and emergency procedures is required.
- The ability to pass and utilize Crisis Prevention Intervention (C.P.I.) and/or Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Training (T.C.I.) within three months of employment.
- A valid California driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the Company's insurance carrier are necessary.
