Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including fluid checks, tire pressure, and cleaning.
- Maintain vehicle logs and assist the transportation department with daily inspections.
- Conduct minor plumbing repairs, such as fixing leaky faucets and pipes.
- Repair and install wall partitions, shelves, fences, floors, doors, and other related items.
- Complete routine carpentry work.
- Move furniture, equipment, and supplies.
- Paint and decorate interior and exterior surfaces.
- Assist with janitorial duties, including cleaning residences, schools, and offices.
- Respond to requests for assistance from child care and treatment staff.
- Maintain records, including key distributions.
In this role, you will spend time standing, walking on sloped areas, carrying, driving, lifting (up to 50 pounds), listening, speaking, reaching, writing, and participating in restraint procedures.
Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid California driver's license and a driving record acceptable to our insurance carrier.
- One or more years of experience in institutional maintenance.
- Working knowledge of painting, carpentry, plumbing, automotive, and welding skills.
- Proficient in inventory management.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Able to lift and exert self physically to perform all duties.
