About the Role:
The Chief Information Officer is responsible for overseeing the company’s IT needs, which includes managing and implementing technology to support the organization’s goals. This role will direct the design, development, and maintenance of systems, programs, and systems software to support the strategic business plan or creating new strategic options. Creating, maintaining, and enforcing written policies and procedures regarding all computer operations in the Information Technology Department and throughout the Company. The CIO negotiates the conflict or gap between the company’s operations and technological innovations.
Qualifications (Required & Preferred):
Education: (R) BSc/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems or relevant field, (P) MSc/MA
Experience: (P) 15 to 20 years of experience in managing one or more major information processing functions; (R) Proven experience as CIO or similar managerial role; (R) Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure; (R) Background in designing and planning IT systems, as well as successful IT implementation experience; (R) Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting and business operations (R) Experience managing IT in a manufacturing environment.
Areas of Knowledge: (R) Comprehensive knowledge of information systems technology subjects and extensive knowledge of hardware and software with the ability to keep abreast of new technologies; (R) Must have D365 ERP implementation experience; Thorough understanding of cyber security issues, technical solutions and risk management; (R) Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure; (R) Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting operations and business; (R) Strategic management.

Role Accountabilities:
- It is the CIO's job to innovate, collaborate, balance the IT budget and develop IT staff across organization
- Create business value through technology and ensure the technology systems and procedures lead to outcomes in line with business goals
- Lead the Haynes IT Steering Committee to set goals and objectives that align with and support company-wide goals
- Plan and lead the implementation of new systems and provide guidance to IT professionals and other staff within organization
- Approve purchases of technological equipment and software and establish partnerships with IT providers
- Oversee the technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organization to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the company can gain competitive advantage
- Analyze the costs, value and risks of information technology to advise management and suggest actions
- Guide Haynes International’s information technology and data processing efforts on a global basis. Ensure that sufficient resources are available to keep our information and business process systems functioning at optimal level
- Provide guidance with compliance and potential security breaches. Foster emergency business recovery planning throughout company
- Staying abreast of emerging technologies that can improve IT department performance and increase company profits
