POSITION SUMMARY :
The Director of Sales will be responsible for leading and managing all sales operations for the Denver team and providing significant support across all HMS locations. The duties of this position are extensive and wide-reaching, but the key to overall success will be :
Meeting or exceeding the sales plans for each of the assigned sales teamsDriving Denver maintenance base retention and influencing overall base retention in other HMS locations through comprehensive account management strategies and enhancements to the client experienceContinuously developing HMS sales professionals through consistent, multi-faceted sales trainingDeveloping growth strategies, tactical campaigns, and action plans for each assigned team and ensure collaboration on complex solutionsUnderstanding current and emerging market trends and engaging with marketing and sales leaders to leverage and adapt our unique value propositionREQUIREMENTS :
5 years of successful business-to-business sales experience direct to end users5 years of successful sales leadership experienceMust possess a valid driver's license and currently maintain a safe driving record as required by the company's insurance providerESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Oversee the hiring and onboarding of new sales representatives for assigned teamsWork with each direct report to co-author a written Associate Development Plan (ADP) to foster continuous improvementConduct annual performance evaluations for assigned personnel and follow up regularly regarding progress toward identified goalsMeet weekly with each direct report one-on-one for coaching and review of sales pipelines, forecasts, and performance to dateIdentify future leaders and prepare them for succession opportunitiesEstablish consistent, effective onboarding, sales training, sales collateral, and documentation for all sales teamsPlan, coordinate, and lead a comprehensive suite of sales training including roundtables, monthly sales meetings, annual sales retreat, MSR class, PSR class, SSR class, and leverage outside training resources as applicableDevelop and implement consistent account management strategies and responsibilities for the Project and Service sales teamsDemonstrate leadership in strategic sales including the use of Challenger selling concepts, Gap Selling principles, financing, bundled solutions, regional sales, etc.Maintain knowledge and insights into the geographical markets assigned including vertical markets, macroeconomic factors, competitive landscape, Haynes' market position, customer perception, industry regulations / changes, etc.Leverage market understanding (in coordination with HMS Marketing department) to strengthen our position in the marketplace or strategically reposition HMS, through effective, multi-pronged campaignsCoordinate with operational leaders to establish sales offerings and pricing strategies to ensure continuous, profitable growth of the businessDemonstrate the ability to build and maintain long-term business relationships that lead to future sales and market opportunitiesCollaborate with General Managers and operational leaders to ensure a world-class client experienceCOMPETENCIES :
