POSITION SUMMARY :

The Director of Sales will be responsible for leading and managing all sales operations for the Denver team and providing significant support across all HMS locations. The duties of this position are extensive and wide-reaching, but the key to overall success will be :

  • Meeting or exceeding the sales plans for each of the assigned sales teams
  • Driving Denver maintenance base retention and influencing overall base retention in other HMS locations through comprehensive account management strategies and enhancements to the client experience
  • Continuously developing HMS sales professionals through consistent, multi-faceted sales training
  • Developing growth strategies, tactical campaigns, and action plans for each assigned team and ensure collaboration on complex solutions
  • Understanding current and emerging market trends and engaging with marketing and sales leaders to leverage and adapt our unique value proposition
  • REQUIREMENTS :

  • 5 years of successful business-to-business sales experience direct to end users
  • 5 years of successful sales leadership experience
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and currently maintain a safe driving record as required by the company's insurance provider
  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned :

  • Oversee the hiring and onboarding of new sales representatives for assigned teams
  • Work with each direct report to co-author a written Associate Development Plan (ADP) to foster continuous improvement
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations for assigned personnel and follow up regularly regarding progress toward identified goals
  • Meet weekly with each direct report one-on-one for coaching and review of sales pipelines, forecasts, and performance to date
  • Identify future leaders and prepare them for succession opportunities
  • Establish consistent, effective onboarding, sales training, sales collateral, and documentation for all sales teams
  • Plan, coordinate, and lead a comprehensive suite of sales training including roundtables, monthly sales meetings, annual sales retreat, MSR class, PSR class, SSR class, and leverage outside training resources as applicable
  • Develop and implement consistent account management strategies and responsibilities for the Project and Service sales teams
  • Demonstrate leadership in strategic sales including the use of Challenger selling concepts, Gap Selling principles, financing, bundled solutions, regional sales, etc.
  • Maintain knowledge and insights into the geographical markets assigned including vertical markets, macroeconomic factors, competitive landscape, Haynes' market position, customer perception, industry regulations / changes, etc.
  • Leverage market understanding (in coordination with HMS Marketing department) to strengthen our position in the marketplace or strategically reposition HMS, through effective, multi-pronged campaigns
  • Coordinate with operational leaders to establish sales offerings and pricing strategies to ensure continuous, profitable growth of the business
  • Demonstrate the ability to build and maintain long-term business relationships that lead to future sales and market opportunities
  • Collaborate with General Managers and operational leaders to ensure a world-class client experience

  • Able to lift legs and step over obstacles up to 19 inches above the ground
  • Able to squat repetitively
  • Able to access rooftop units and work at heights and in some cases tight or enclosed spaces
  • Able to wear a respirator if conditions require; may have brief exposure to environments that are smoky, dusty, or dirty
  • Able to crawl, stoop, crouch, or kneel for up to 5 minutes at a time
  • SALARY : $125,000 – $150,000 plus annual bonus incentive
