Job Title: Marla's Place Program Director
Location: San Marcos, Texas
Position Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer
Job Summary: The Program Director will oversee the daily operations and strategic planning of HCWC's transitional housing complex dedicated to supporting victims of family violence. This role involves managing staff, coordinating services, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed care to residents. The Program Director will work closely with community partners, funders, and stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
- Supervise and support a team of advocates and support staff.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and provide ongoing training and professional development.
Program Development and Implementation:
- Design and oversee programs that address the needs of residents, including counseling, legal assistance, job training, and educational opportunities.
- Monitor and evaluate program outcomes to ensure effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with community organizations to provide comprehensive services to residents.
Budget and Financial Management:
- Manage the program budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Review financial reports and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
Resident Support:
- Ensure residents receive individualized support and case management services.
- Facilitate access to external resources such as healthcare, legal aid, and employment services.
- Address any issues or concerns raised by residents promptly and effectively.
Community Outreach and Advocacy:
- Represent HCWC at community events, meetings, and forums.
- Advocate for policies and practices that support victims of family violence.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, non-profits, and donors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, public administration, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in program management, preferably in a social services or non-profit setting.
- Strong understanding of family violence issues and trauma-informed care practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and individuals.
Compensation:
- Salary is $70,000 per year.
