Caregiver in Group Home

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals with disabilities in a group home setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities, while respecting their rights and promoting independence. This role requires a blend of personal care skills, patience, and the ability to assist multiple residents in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Help clients with mobility and transfers, including lifting when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
• Respect resident rights and ensure confidentiality in all interactions.
• Engage residents in various activities and promote socialization.

Experience

• Previous experience in home community care, senior care, or long-term care is preferred.
• Familiarity with working with people with disabilities is a plus.
• Knowledge of resident rights and the ability to advocate for clients effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients.
• Must be physically capable of lifting clients and performing other physical tasks associated with caregiving.
• Must have a copy of your High School Diploma, GED, or high school transcripts.
• Must be able to pass a level II background check.

Pay: From $15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
