This successful national multifamily investor, owner / operator, and developer manages over 15,000 units across 16 states in their portfolio. With over 20 years of industry experience, our client specializes primarily in workforce and affordable housing in underserved markets.

Your new role

This is an exclusive opportunity for a Chief Building Engineer to support the overall operations of a 315 unit mixed-income luxury rental asset in the NoMa area of Washington DC. The Chief Building Engineer will manage 3 Maintenance Technicians and supported by a full operations staff.

The Chief Building Engineer will be responsible for the overall maintenance operations of the community. This will be a combination of hands-on technical expertise with supervisory responsibility, and oversight of capital improvement projects.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for the Chief Building Engineer role, candidates will possess the following :

• 5 years of experience in multifamily maintenance management
• DC 3rd Class Steam Engineer License required
• Proficiency in BMS
• Ability to motivate and manage a team
• Flexibility to be on-call in case of emergency
