Our client is seeking a Proofreader / Copy Editor in Weehawken, NJ\ Hybrid.
Role Description
What you'll do :
1. Proofreading, copy editing and fact checking. We'll count on you to be a perfectionist and help polish content until it gleams. That requires understanding our brand voice and tone, fact checking and correcting all grammatical errors, typos and inconsistencies. You'll find and correct formatting and compositional errors, check corrected proofs of documents against mark-ups and be the last line of defense for our copy quality assurance.
2. Editorial and brand review. As a brand ambassador, you will need to embrace brand training to become the custodian of our voice and style. You will ensure that our style guides are followed, including disclosures and archive data. You're not just a proofreader, you're a brand advocate.
3. Operate independently within a fast-paced in-house agency. You will succeed in this role if you have agency experience, but can operate with the level of finesse that is required with an in-house marketing team. You must be a fast learner, who is able to work under tight deadlines and multitask across various high priority projects.
4. Stay ahead in the financial landscape. You will keep a finger on the pulse of industry trends and changes. You will balance proofreading and copy editing with regulatory requirements of our industry.
