Senior Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer needed to support Transportation & Public Sector projects!
Your new company
30-year-old Multidisciplinary Engineering Firm as a Senior Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer, based mid-town Manhattan. Work on complex & challenging projects spanning Transportation, Aviation, Education, Historical, Justice, Commercial, Residential and other industry segments. Typically a remote role, with ad-hoc in office requirements, needs to be based within a commutable distance of NYC to attend client meetings & perform field work. Base salary circa $120k to $140k.
Your new role
As a Senior Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer you will work closely with end clients & Architects designing complex Plumbing & Fire Protection systems. The majority of their projects are performed in Revit, with some smaller projects completed in CAD. As a senior team member you will work in a highly autonomous role, while ensuring you follow internal operational excellence guidelines & design practices. You will perform a blend of hands-on design & project management related duties, no seller / doer experience is required, though would be considered advantageous. Oversight of junior team members & mentoring is expected. Come work on some of the most challenging design work in the industry!
What you'll need to succeed
A PE License is mandatory to be considered for this role. Your experience working long-term within MEP Engineering Firms as a Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer will be key to your success in this role. Experience supporting new building design, responsibility for equipment sizing & selection, expertise with Zoning for high-rise buildings, as well as adhering to NFPA guidelines is also a must to be considered.
