This large, well know company in Miami is seeking an experienced Accounting Transformation Manager to drive organizational change within our accounting function. This role involves collaborating with Accounting Operations and Controllership teams to enhance efficiency, align processes with business goals, and ensure SOX compliance and internal controls. The ideal candidate excels in project management, automation, and change management to ensure the success of transformation initiatives.
Your new role
- Create and implement strategic plans for accounting transformation initiatives.
- Analyze existing accounting procedures and systems, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee the execution of transformation projects, including project planning and resource allocation.
- Develop and implement standardized operating procedures for consistent accounting practices.
- Collaborate with Data Warehouse, IT, and Accounting teams to align transformation efforts.
- Lead automation initiatives to enhance process efficiency and accuracy.
- Monitor adherence to established accounting processes and regulatory requirements.
- Continuously assess the impact of changes and adjust strategies as needed.
- Provide leadership and guidance to accounting teams, promoting professional development.
- Design and implement training programs for accounting staff.
- Perform additional job-related duties as needed.
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree Type: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in accounting or finance roles, with 3 years in a managerial capacity overseeing transformation initiatives.
- CPA or CMA preferred.
