Your new role:
Fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager (or Senior Project Manager) to join a Real Estate Developer to manage a major civil and building project in the Baltimore area. Responsibilities include contract and document management, schedule and cost control, quality assurance, and stakeholder communication. The Project Manager will manage the contractors throughout the project, ensuring project goals are met within scope, time, budget, and quality parameters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and review design work to ensure cost efficiency and alignment with project goals.
- Ensure project compliance with permitting conditions.
- Finalize procurement strategy and manage RFPs for construction packages.
- Define, implement, and control project management processes including scope, schedule, budget, risk, cost, and document management.
- Communicate project status and issues with internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for project improvement and mitigate delays, budget overruns, and quality compromises.
- Maintain project progress metrics and facilitate regular progress meetings.
- Conduct project stage gate reviews and maintain lessons learned register.
- Coordinate effectively between functional work streams.
What you need to succeed:
- 6 years of experience in large scale complex projects either in civil infrastructure construction or commercial building construction.
- Experience in working for either a General Contractor or Engineering firm as a Project Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- Proficiency in construction-based software including Primavera P6.
- Ability to work on-site 5 days a week in Baltimore.
