After being awarded a number of large complex projects, a unique opportunity has opened up for an MEP Project Manager to join the construction team in San Francisco.
Your new role
As the MEP Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing on-site coordination and evaluation support for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & Fire protection management such as emergency power systems, electrical distribution systems, HVAC, plumbing, steam and chillers on large Ground-up commercial projects in the $100m range. You will provide on-site construction field support with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems. This role involves engaging in the preconstruction process, managing project financials and coordinating with MEP subcontractors and team members to ensure successful project delivery in a collaborative and inclusive environment. Some key tasks will include bid procedures & reviews, utility coordination, vendor & subcontractor qualifications, estimating & scheduling.
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree qualified in Mechanical or Electrical engineering
- Experience with mechanical systems such as Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning, Domestic Water, Heating Hot Water, Chilled Water, Steam, and Electrical systems.
- Experience in construction, operation, maintenance, application, properties, and limits of equipment and systems.
- Experience in lighting design for task and architectural purposes
- Experience in AutoCAD programs for schematic design and presentations
- 5 years prior experience in BIM modelling and clash detection
- Experience with MS Project, Primavera P6, Sage Timberline & Procore preferred
- 10 to 15 years of construction-related experience overseeing projects valued in $50M to $200M range
- Knowledge of contracts & fee structures
- Must be an effective communicator
