Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Permanent - New York, NY - $120000.00 - $150000.00.

Our client is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer in New York, NY.
Responsibilities
Design and Implement: Create and maintain a scalable and reliable infrastructure to support our rapidly growing platform.
Optimize and Scale: Enhance cloud environments (AWS) to efficiently handle increasing traffic and workloads.
Performance Tuning: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in infrastructure, code, and database queries.
Security Enhancement: Fortify platform, data, and infrastructure security.
Proactive Monitoring: Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to swiftly detect and respond to system issues.
CI/CD Improvement: Upgrade existing CI/CD pipelines to boost automated deployments and ensure high availability.
Best Practices: Develop and enforce CI/CD pipelines with rigorous pre-deployment checks, including static code analysis,
security scanning, and performance testing, to minimize production issues.
Incident Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) of incidents and implement long-term fixes to prevent future outages.
Collaborative Security: Work with security teams to strengthen authentication mechanisms and prevent bot attacks.
Reliability Standards: Establish best practices for software reliability, incident response, and fault tolerance.
Incident Management: Lead incident management efforts, including on-call rotations and post-mortem analysis.
Automated Testing: Design and maintain automated testing frameworks (unit, integration, and end-to-end tests) to catch regressions early and ensure high code quality before deployment.
Skills & Requirements
Experience: 5 years in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering.
Cloud Expertise: Deep knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
Technical Skills: Experience with load balancing (ELB), auto-scaling, and distributed systems.
Security Savvy: Strong understanding of networking, security best practices, and bot mitigation techniques.
Observability Tools: Proficiency in tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, Splunk.
CI/CD Knowledge: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Gi tops, and automated testing for reliability.
Database Skills: Experience in SQL and NoSQL database performance tuning and optimization.
Incident Response: Familiarity with incident response, post-mortem analysis, and resilience engineering.
Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Team Player: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
