Project Manager - Construction
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee and coordinate infrastructure deployment projects for Haywire. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing outside plant (OSP) deployments and structured cabling builds in an MDU (multi-dwelling units) scenario. This position will manage the planning, execution, and completion of multiple simultaneous projects of varying complexity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full project lifecycle for OSP fiber builds, structured cabling projects, and network expansions.
- Coordinate with provisioning, networking, construction, and field operations teams to ensure timelines and quality standards are met.
- Oversee vendor and contractor performance, ensuring adherence to design specs, safety standards, and budget.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
- Conduct site walks and inspections to verify work quality and compliance.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders, clients, and leadership to provide updates and manage expectations.
- Maintain accurate documentation including project schedules, change orders, permits, and as-builts.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the ISP, telecom, or MDU construction industries.
- Strong knowledge of OSP construction, structured cabling, and aerial/underground deployments.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore, or similar).
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
- Ability to travel occasionally to regional jobsites (travel is less than 10% of the time)
- Preferred BICSI certification
- Preferred knowledge of GIS systems and network design tools.
