Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiologic technology, excellent critical thinking skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review patient history and physician's orders to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment.
- Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice.
- Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate.
- Position patients and perform imaging procedures while implementing safety standards and quality control procedures.
- Analyze results and identify issues with image quality, taking action to resolve them.
- Enter, transmit, and report scan results accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved course in Radiologic Technology.
- Hospital training during two years of approved Radiologic Technologist program.
- Experience in other x-ray departments, clinics, or medical offices highly desirable.
Certifications and Licenses
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Radiologic Technologist and Technician licensure required, with ARRT registration or eligibility.
- Active membership in the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required.
