What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Project Manager position at Hazard Construction?
Hazard Companies is seeking a Project Manager with 3-5 years of experience in heavy highway construction. Candidate will contribute to a variety of projects including but not limited to site development and infrastructure, military, and DOT(Caltrans). We work on a variety of grading and asphalt paving projects and seek a motivated individual to assist our superintendents in the successful execution of these projects. Responsibilities:
· Assist Superintendents in progress billing, track submittals, RFIs, and contract change orders.
· Job cost tracking/updates.
· Coordinate with Subcontractors on a variety of projects.
· Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
· Understand contract documents (plans, specifications, contracts, etc.)
· Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change.
Requirements:
· Hard-working individual who has demonstrated leadership skills and who thrives in a teamwork environment.
· The individual must be highly organized and able to communicate well with others.
· Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
· The ideal candidate must be proactive, analytical, an innovative team player and able to meet established deadlines. Hard Dollar and Primavera P6 scheduling software experience are a plus.
· Excellent writing, presentation and computer skills to include the above as well as Microsoft and Vista by Viewpoint a plus.
· Willingness to be flexible and occasionally work long hours.
