Duties:
- Follows departmental procedures for completing exams, including correct positioning, equipment utilization, and image retention.
- Establishes and maintains a positive relationship with all customers.
- Applies radiation protection skills.
- Works effectively with all members of the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of comprehensive quality care to all patients.
- Maintains regulatory requirements, including all state, federal, and TJC regulations related to the Department, and as appropriate, the hospital.
- Consistently performs duties independently with minimum supervision.
- Operates equipment and safely performs job-related duties. Maintains a clean/safe work environment
- Adheres to all department procedure protocols.
- Performs all radiographic procedures with a sound understanding of anatomy, physiology, positioning, and technical factors to produce quality diagnostic images.
- Assures that the proper examination is performed on the correct patient and understands the clinical reason the exam is being performed.
- Demonstrates professional demeanor and ability to triage multiple requests and asks for assistance when appropriate.
- Gathers appropriate clinical information for each examination, assuring that safe care is delivered.
- Consistently performing in a manner that enhances customer service and approaches work with the attitude that quality can always be improved.
- Must demonstrate and maintain competency in all aspects of duties, including in the designated specialty.
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested professionally.
- Current Radiology Technologist certificate/permit from CDPH
- Current Fluoroscopy certificate/permit from CDPH
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Provider Course
- Current California State Venipuncture Certificate
- Current registration in Radiography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists-ARRT (R)
- Current Basic Life Support (CPR-BLS)
- 2-5 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
Pay: $48.00 - $58.00 per hour
