Beer Department Associate

Hazel's is looking to hire a full-time evening/night beer department staff member with full availability. This is a long-term, permanent position (not temporary).

If you have beer experience and a passion for the current beer trends and styles this is the place for you! There’s only one Hazel’s, we are an extremely high volume liquor store and pride ourselves on the extensive knowledge our department staff possess.

Our Beer Department Associates are responsible for stocking, rotation, inventory management and most importantly assisting customers with beer recommendations and questions.

The right candidate will have a high degree of brand awareness, and be up to date on the current styles and trends. We are looking for full time applicants with at least 1 year of professional beer experience.

Requirements:

• 21 years of age or older
• At least 1 year of brewery or brewpub experience and/or 1 year of professional beer experience
• Broad knowledge on beer trends, pairings and styles
• The ability to regularly lift kegs (Up to 100 pounds)
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays (we are a liquor store after all)
• The ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to climb, stoop and kneel repeatedly
• Self motivated to keep department stocked and organized
• Ability to render outstanding service, customer after customer
• Basic PC and math skills

Bonus points: Cicerone certification given priority but not required.
