Job Summary
The Group Facilitator plays a crucial role in leading and managing group sessions for individuals with diverse needs, including those with disabilities and autism. This position involves creating a supportive environment that fosters personal growth, encourages participation, and promotes effective communication among group members. The Group Facilitator will utilize various therapeutic techniques and interventions to address behavioral challenges and support the overall well-being of participants.
Duties
- Lead group therapy sessions focused on behavioral therapy and crisis intervention strategies.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on medical documentation and participant assessments.
- Facilitate discussions that address gender issues and promote inclusivity among participants.
- Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to reinforce positive behaviors and manage challenging behaviors.
- Conduct research to stay informed about best practices in group facilitation and therapeutic interventions.
- Maintain accurate records of participant progress, session notes, and any relevant medical documentation.
- Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for individuals with disabilities.
- Provide support to participants in navigating outpatient services as needed.
Skills
- Proficiency in medical documentation practices related to behavioral health.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum.
- Strong understanding of crisis intervention techniques and their application in group settings.
- Familiarity with ICD-9 coding for behavioral health diagnoses.
- Knowledge of gender issues counseling and its relevance in therapeutic settings.
- Ability to apply principles of Applied Behavior Analysis effectively within group dynamics.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate discussions and document progress.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple participants' needs simultaneously.

Pay: $22.41 - $25.11 per hour
