Phoenix or Salt Lake City Project Engineer
Hazelwood Engineering specializes in custom home, multi-family, retail and industrial building design serving builders and architects in Utah, Arizona, and Colorado. We work to do things better. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with wood, concrete, and steel structures ranging from residential additions to multi-family structures and industrial warehouses.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
· Participate in comprehensive training and development program
· Modeling of buildings and production of structural drawings in Revit
· Perform structural analysis, design and detailing of wood, concrete, and steel structures under the supervision of senior engineers
· Think independently and contribute cooperatively: Be exploratory in coming up with solutions and contribute as a part of a team with a larger goal
· Execute tasks as directed by project manager
· Positively contribute to company culture
· Provide construction administration services including shop drawing/RFI review
· Monitor project budgets and communicate with managers about scheduling
In addition to being self-driven and ambitious with serious attention to detail, the ideal candidate will have the following:
· Must have a Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master of Science is preferred)
· PE certification (Required)
· 3-5 years experience in Structural Engineering (Required)
· Knowledge of Excel and Revit (desired but not required…we can train you)
· Capability to work in a team environment, supporting the success of both coworkers and clients
· Goal-oriented with a desire to grow
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
. Working knowledge of engineering for wood buildings
