What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD/BIM Designer position at Hazen and Sawyer?
Hazen and Sawyer is looking to add a motivated MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer to work alongside staff Engineers and Senior Designers, in the design and production of contract documents for various Water, Wastewater, Pump Station, and Pipeline projects.
Position responsibilities will include:
- Prepare site plans, sections, profiles, and details for water, wastewater and stormwater projects.
- Coordinate with other disciplines (Process Mechanical, Structural, Architectural, HVAC, Electrical, and I&C) to help resolve design conflicts and challenges.
- Ensure drawings comply with company and client CAD/BIM standards and styles
- Create CAD-based files for use in the production of contract documents.
Minimum Requirements:
- 0-4 years of experience required.
- Working knowledge of Bentley MicroStation is required.
- Experience with Bentley OpenRoads, OpenPlant, ProjectWise or Civil 3D is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products is required.
- Engineering/construction drafting/design experience is preferred.
Education Requirements:
- Certificate, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in a program focused in Engineering design, drafting, or related field is preferred.
