What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD/BIM Designer position at Hazen and Sawyer?
Location: Tampa, FL | Orlando, FL | Hollywood, FL | Boca Raton, FL
Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a CAD/BIM Designer to work alongside staff Engineers and Senior CAD/BIM Designers. This position will include the design and production of contract documents for various Water, Wastewater and Pump Station facilities projects.
Position responsibilities will include:
- Ability to prepare site layouts, enlarged plans, sections, and details for various process mechanical and systems and civil site layouts
- Executing redlines from Engineers and senior CAD Designers
- Assist in Structural, HVAC, Electrical, I&C drawing development
- Ensure drawing compliance with company and client CAD standards
- Ambition to learn, communicate effectively, and collaborate with other designers
Skills and Experience:
- 2-4 years of CAD drafting design or completion of technical school with CAD design certificate required.
- Civil piping, Storm Drainage or Revit Piping design experience required.
- AutoCAD 2D skills required (min of 2yrs within version 2022) required.
- AutoCAD Civil 3D experience/skills (highly desired)
- Autodesk Revit experience/skills (highly desired)
- Basic understanding of Civil Site piping and associated materials and fittings preferred for Water, Wastewater and Pump Station facilities.
