What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tasting Room Kitchen Staff position at Hazy Mountain Vineyards?
Hazy Mountain Vineyards & Brewery is seeking Part-Time Kitchen members to join our team.
The Kitchen Cook will assist the Kitchen manager in the execution of day to day kitchen operations at Hazy Mountain. This will include prep work, dish washing, offloading supplies and cooking.
Education Requirements
*High School diploma or GED preferred.
Skill Requirements
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a similar banquet/convention/hotel setting
· Experience in purchasing, vendors and quality control while executing high end events
· Must have the ability to create a consistent and stable work experience and the desire to excel as an individual contributor and leader.
· Serve Safe Certification
· Experience in training and leading a team, as well as production of large quantities of food
*Must be competent in preparing foods in a high end banquet setting. Must be able to follow directions as instruction by members of the leadership team. Task may include but are not limited to:
- Working with the Executive Chef on menu and procurement
- Working with the Executive Chef on staffing events
- Maintaining HACCP logs during preparation and execution per Health Dept. guidelines.
- Ensure the off-site production kitchen and the on-site event kitchen are clean and sanitary
- Email correspondence with the management team to coordinate events
- Using knives and kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, steamers and food warmers.
- Take charge of kitchen opening, closing duties and other side duties as directed by the Executive Chef
· Proficient with Microsoft Office
· Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 30 per week

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift

- Afton, VA 22920: Relocate before starting work (Required)
