We are currently seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Mechanic to become an integral part of our esteemed maintenance team. This position is pivotal in ensuring the effective day-to-day and long-term maintenance of our sophisticated foundry and mill equipment within an industrial manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct preventative maintenance on various industrial production machinery and associated equipment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and rebuild machinery as necessary to maintain optimal functionality.
- Operate mobile equipment, including forklifts, skid steer loaders, shop cranes, scissor lifts, and articulating man lifts, as required for maintenance tasks.
- Accurately read and interpret safety and work instructions, both verbal and written, to ensure compliance with required specifications.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and blueprints.
- Solid foundational knowledge of general mechanical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Expertise in troubleshooting and rebuilding various types of pumps, such as centrifugal, diaphragm, and piston pumps.
- Competence in using precision measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
- Strong ability to collaborate in a team environment, alongside being a proactive self-starter capable of multitasking.
- Must possess and maintain personal hand tools, while continuously acquiring additional tools to enhance expertise.
- Proven experience in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent is desirable.
