We are seeking an Indoor Air Quality Technician to join our HB Home Service Team in Harrisburg!
The Indoor Air Quality Technician/Duct Cleaning Technician will work with an HVAC Technician learning and performing duct cleaning in residential settings. The HVAC Duct Cleaner must be career oriented and want to learn, master the trade, and take ownership of a career as a full-time technician. This employee will work out of the Harrisburg, PA location and will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining ductwork systems in residential buildings. They will also work with numerous system parts and mechanisms.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform duct cleaning and maintenance tasks in accordance with industry standards and guidelines
- Inspect and assess ductwork systems for cleaning needs, identifying issues and providing recommendations for repairs or improvements
- Use specialized equipment and tools to clean ducts, including vacuum systems, brushes, and air compressors
- Remove and clean air registers, grilles, and diffusers
- Seal and insulate ducts as needed to improve energy efficiency
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including time spent, materials used, and any issues encountered
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and addressing concerns from clients in a professional and courteous manner
- Perform duties as assigned relating to duct cleaning in residential settings
- Use of negative air equipment
- Cleaning of furnace blowers motors and air conditioning coils
- Smoke/fire damage remediation
- Disinfecting/sanitizing of HVAC systems
- Multi-unit dryer vent cleaning
- Performs filter changes
- Cleans and replaces registers
- Recognize opportunities and recommend additional services offered by Home Services
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM / PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- High school diploma, completion of GED
- Computer, tablet, and smart phone skills - Required
- The ability to remain flexible and adaptable in work schedules and assignments as defined by departmental and organizational needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to follow building, job site and department procedures and policies
- Must possess strong mechanical aptitude.
- Possess a current, valid drivers license with a satisfactory driving record
