What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pre-Fabrication Plumber's Helper position at HB Global LLC?
Summary: Support the team in the installation/prefabrication of commercial construction products such as underground plumbing, above-ground plumbing, underground mechanical piping, above-ground mechanical piping, and hydronic systems in climate control buildings.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Assist with commercial plumbing/mechanical prefabrication for large-scale commercial and industrial construction products such as healthcare, government, educational, manufacturing, hospitality, and others.
- Prefab hangers and supports for pipes, and equipment, before installation for water, gas, compressed air, medical gas, chilled water, heating hot water, or other liquids.
- Regular use of basic hand tools and ability to read a tape measure.
- Assist with prefabrication of plumbing and mechanical systems using materials such as copper, steel, cast iron, PVC, CPVC, PEX, and other piping.
- Duties may include soldering copper pipe/fittings, prepping copper pipe, pressing pipe/fittings, cutting, prepping, and gluing PVC pipe/fittings, cutting steel pipe, prepping steel pipe, and cutting and prepping cast iron.
- Experience soldering copper is a plus.
- Other duties as assigned.
