What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at HBD Industries?
Position Summary
The maintenance technician is responsible for all production, facility, building and support equipment repairs, maintenance and preventative maintenance. This position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor. This position is located in Gainesville, GA.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Trouble shooting and repairing all production equipment.
- Understanding of electric, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
- Use tool manuals, technical documents and other resources.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks daily/weekly/monthly.
- Trouble shooting and repairing all support and facility equipment.
- Installing and changing electrical circuits as needed.
- Ability to communicate with vendors.
- Able to perform in a team environment.
- Required following all safety rules, use of proper PPE, and report any safety concerns.
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Experience and Education Required
- 3-5 years of experience in maintenance.
- 2-year technical degree preferred.
- Must have technical and IT experience such as Microsoft systems and MaintainX.
- Must be able to operate a forklift.
- Must have welding experience.
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 50 lbs
- Requires standing continuously and walking occasionally throughout the day up to ten hours
