Position Summary: We are seeking a self-motivated Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT/EI) to join our dynamic team in Newberg, Oregon. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, designing, funding assistance, cost estimating, bidding and construction management of civil engineering projects across various disciplines, including water, wastewater, stormwater, transportation, and private development.
- Develop comprehensive studies, reports, design drawings, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate closely with Project Engineers and Project Managers to execute project tasks effectively.
- Perform engineering calculations utilizing appropriate software for water systems, stormwater runoff, and other infrastructure components.
- Ensure quality engineering work is completed within budget and on schedule.
- Conduct on-site project inspections to monitor progress and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and MS Project.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Genuine interest in the technical aspects of civil engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Internship experience in civil engineering.
- Familiarity with Oregon and/or Washington municipal regulations and agencies.
- Experience with software such as HydroCAD, GIS, WaterCAD, or PCSWMM.
- Background in construction management and inspection.
