Psychosocial Specialists assist in planning and providing psychosocial rehabilitation services. Their responsibilities include assisting with group games, arts and crafts, holiday celebrations, outings, and exercise activities for clients.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience working with target population preferred. Previous experience as a clinician in a day treatment setting with adults is preferred. Must have a valid Mississippi Commercial driver’s license with a good driving history (or be able and willing to obtain one). Employee must demonstrate ability to recognize patients’ individual needs based on medical conditions, age (infants, pediatrics, adolescents, young adults, middle-aged and geriatric), limitations and planned procedures. Good communication skills are necessary. This position has been determined to have an occasional or very low risk of occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
