Job Summary
The Parts Associate uses efficient inventory controls, parts procurement, and expedited orders; accurate and timely data entry and record maintenance; and effective receiving, stocking, and disbursing related inventory to ensure availability of essential parts for our dealer network. Increases product knowledge in support of dealers and team. Supports Parts Manager as required driven by dealer requests.
General Accountabilities
The Parts Associate uses efficient inventory controls, parts procurement, and expedited orders; accurate and timely data entry and record maintenance; and effective receiving, stocking, and disbursing related inventory to ensure availability of essential parts for our dealer network. Increases product knowledge in support of dealers and team. Supports Parts Manager as required driven by dealer requests.
General Accountabilities
- Assists the dealers in providing the correct part numbers as required
- Prioritize required tasks to make efficient use of work time.
- Determine spare parts availability using inventory control systems.
- Contact dealers to communicate on-time delivery of ordered component parts.
- Source, orders, and receive non-stocked items from vendors.
- Expedite parts order as necessary based on inventory status and need of parts for immediate repairs.
- Document and post inventory and purchase transactions in warehouse management system (WMS).
- Maintains organization and cleanliness in stockroom.
- Ensures incoming materials are inspected against orders for correctness, quantity, type, and damages.
- Prepares necessary paperwork to ensure proper billing.
- Performs a variety of clerical or back-office duties as needed.

Job Qualifications
- Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience in parts related field such as: automotive and/or wholesale distribution.
- Knowledge of automotive or heavy equipment parts and manuals to increase efficiency finding and sourcing parts.
- Valid driver’s license at time of appointment and throughout employment
- Be able to lift and carry equipment and materials up to 50 pounds alone and more weight with assistance.
- Able to work in both an office and warehouse setting.
Skills
- Active listening skills in order to ensure dealer parts requests are met accurately.
- Ability to communicate verbally and written with dealer and coworkers.
- Ability to identify, prioritize and meet dealer needs to ensure parts are available when needed.
- Time management
- Highly organized
- Proficient in MSN Office Programs, cloud-based platforms.
