Job Description:
This key leadership position is responsible for the successful operation of Food & Nutrition Services. The Director will plan, direct, coordinate, and supervise food services activities and operations, including procurement, receiving, storage, preparation, and menu planning.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs of residents
- Supervise food service staff, including cooks, servers, and dietary aides
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, such as food safety and sanitation standards
- Manage food budgets and inventory
- Collaborate with other departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure a smooth operating environment
Requirements:
- Combination of experience, education, and/or training in food service management
- Qualified Dietetic Technician and/or Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
