Job Description Summary Job Description Essential Functions / Responsibilities: Manage master planning, material processes and systems, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs. Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs. Optimize inventory and process improvements. Develop, implement and control a materials strategy to meet business objectives. (Turns, Finished Goods, WIP, RIP, Overdues, OTD and Customer Kanban). Optimize and oversee inbound logistics cost and delivery. Manage Load vs. Capacity and provide lead time availability to commercial weekly. Own and control site MRP including development of a site labor planning model. Oversee on-time material delivery with suppliers via various procurement modes and logistic agreements (MRP, Kanban and Vendor-managed). Assess supplier performance and establish corrective action plans accordingly. Support and initiate Lean-manufacturing techniques to drive improvements. Support Sourcing in key supplier activities and deflation metrics. Work closely with Finance support to ensure that all metrics and results tie to Business commitments. Perform regular evaluations of batch size, safety stock, and inventory level settings to confirm alignment of supply chain with production planning needs. Lead overall site materials team for growth, development and effectiveness. Qualifications / Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing or related. Five (5) years of progressive experience in supply chain management. Employer will accept a combination of post-secondary academic degrees evaluated as the equivalent of a Bachelor's degree in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. Work experience to include: Financial acumen and expertise, capacity to deep dive into complex problems; Team coaching experience on the fields of Lean Manufacturing; Capability leading and developing teams; and Defining and deploying strategy within an organization.
