Purpose

HC3 is looking for a creative, self-motivated Graphic Designer with a keen visual sense and passion for good design. Our ideal candidate has demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio that includes a solid understanding of typography, messaging hierarchy, and visual composition.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities for this position include the following:

• Design and produce visually stunning assets for various print and digital marketing campaigns, including social media, email marketing, advertisements, physical, and event promotional materials.
• Ensure all assets effectively and consistently convey our brand's message and engage our target audience.
• Develop concepts, branding, strategy, and storyboarding.
• Effectively communicate with the team throughout the design creation and editing process.

• Able to lead projects from concept to completion for print and digital media
• Able to generate new and original ideas within the parameters of stated objectives
• Able to translate strategic objectives into design elements
• Able to work well under pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines
• Able to work well with all levels of staff and collaborate effectively to develop assets
• Must possess good customer service skills
• Naturally curious and passionate about the latest tools, trends, and technologies in design

Education Experience and Certifications

Required

• Must have a mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat
• Press-ready design and production experience will be prioritized
• Video/motion graphics experience is valuable (Premiere, After Effects)
• Other useful skills include copyediting and UX/UI design
• Advanced understanding of multimedia design, including web design

Preferred

• Knowledge of and experience with Google Suite
• Knowledge of and experience with Hubspot

Supervisory Responsibility

This role will have no supervisory responsibility.

Work Environment

In most cases, work will be performed in a climate-controlled office space.

Travel

This role will require occasional visits to the HC3 Irondale location.

Physical Demand

This role will require using a computer for long periods of time while sitting or standing.

Position Type and Expected Hours

This is not a full-time position and may be temporary or seasonal depending on current needs. Work can be done remotely, but occasional travel to the HC3 Irondale location will be required for collaborative meetings.
