Job Summary :

HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood is currently seeking an Ultrasound Director / Emergency Medicine Core Faculty to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood, in collaboration with the University of Houston Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine.

Qualified Candidates :

Qualified candidates must be board certified / board eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM / AOBEM)
Must have completed a fellowship in Ultrasound
Ultrasound Director will lead in the development and implementation of the curriculum, instructional methodologies, and evaluation of ultrasound clinical and didactic education provided to the residents
Ultrasound director will oversee the following :

EM residency ultrasound rotation and education

The quality of all POCUS in the department

The residency ultrasound committee including faculty and residency members

Recruitment of Ultrasound faculty

Robust GME programs with future fellowships : Internal Medicine, Transitional Year, Emergency Medicine, Surgery

EM Residency : Dedicated Ultrasound, Education, Sim, and Toxicology Faculty

Dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department

29,000 annual volume

12-bed ED

24 hours of physician coverage and 24 hours of APP coverage

HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood is a 457-bed acute care facility that has provided quality care to the Lake Houston area for over 30 years. It is home to the area’s only Level II trauma center, designated heart hospital, comprehensive cardiac, advanced neuroscience and orthopedic joint programs.
