Job Description:
HCA is a seeking a full time PA or ARNP with Orthopaedic experience to join our team of dedicated professionals at HCA Florida Blake Hospital in beautiful Bradenton, Florida.
Qualified Candidates:
- Must be board certified
- Must hold or be able to obtain an active Florida Medical License prior to start
- Be able to work various shifts between 7:00 am to 5:00 pm M-F; occasional weekends may be required
- Round on patients and communicate with the attending surgeons to coordinate care
- Perform patient history and physicals
- Order and interpret laboratory tests and x-rays and provide diagnosis test and therapies
- Perform medical treatment and diagnostic procedures
- Perform minor surgical procedures
- Instruct and counsel patients on treatment plans
- Preoperative and postoperative care
- Act as liaisons between supervising doctors to the other medical providers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with many different surgeons who follow different protocols
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to assist with bedside procedures and scrub in to cases if requested; training will be provided as necessary
