Job Overview
We are seeking an RN Intake Assessment Coordinator to join our Behavioral Health team. This role will work in conjunction with the Program Director to coordinate the pre-admission assessment process and provide clinical assessments for potential patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate clinical knowledge of psychiatric nursing and maintain the highest quality of comprehensive patient care.
- Respond to all calls for psychiatry services, prioritizing based on patient need, while ensuring EMTALA compliance at all times.
- Coordinate communication related to assessment and admission activities, facilitating rapid throughput in the emergency department.
- Work collaboratively with behavioral health sales team to provide data and support referral management.
- Provide education and support related to emergency detention procedures, intervention as needed, and addressing process concerns.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required.
- BLS-AHA Provider issued card required.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification required.
