Certification Details BLS Florida RN License Job Details HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital Address : 21298 Olean Blvd. Port Charlotte, FL 33949 Beds capacity : 253 Unit Information : Fawcett Inpatient Rehabilitation / Dept. 69344 Number of Beds – 20 (capping census at 14 due to short staffing) Number of Staff – Currently, 3 FT charge RNs, 6 FT / 1 PT RNs, 1 PRN LPN, 5 FT PCTs hired into core. Current core openings : 1 FT charge RN, 6 FT RNs, 2 FT LPNs, 2 PCTs, 1 Rehab Aide Patient Ratios – typically 7 : 1 for nurses, 7-14 : 1 for PCTs Type of equipment – Walkers, wheelchairs, slide boards, gait belts, IV pumps, PEG tubes, PICC lines, dialysis catheters EMR – Meditech – med / surg nurse charting PLUS Inpatient Rehab nurse charting, including Care Tool assessments Job Requirements Strong med / surg nursing experience and competence Experience working closely with PT / OT / SLP Acute medical Inpatient Rehab nursing experience preferred Care Tool experience (unique to acute medical Inpatient Rehab setting) Strong communication skills Positive attitude and commitment to patient care excellence Ability to work effectively as a member of a highly collaborative interdisciplinary team Schedule Information Traveler shall be scheduled in accordance with facility policy Expected to work every other weekend and Holidays in rotation with Hospital employees Unit Specific Information Day Shift – typically 1 charge RN, 1-2 nurses, 1-2 PCTs Night Shift - typically 1 charge RN, 1-2 nurses, 1-2 PCTs Additional Details Consider items such as new equipment or technology, tenure and experience of staff, schedule options, etc.
