Job Overview
HCA Florida Highlands Hospital seeks a dedicated Nuclear Technologist PRN to contribute to the preparation and administration of radioactive chemical compounds, known as radiopharmaceuticals. As a key member of our team, you will perform patient imaging procedures using sophisticated radiation-detecting instrumentation.
You will provide images, data analysis, and patient information to physicians for diagnostic interpretation, ensuring that care is provided appropriately based on the patient's condition and age.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare stock solutions of Radiopharmaceuticals and materials according to established protocols
- Maintain aseptic/sterile technique for all procedures to ensure patient safety and quality care
- Work within the Nuc Med Tech scope of practice as defined by policy and procedures
- FOLLOW ALL general infection control measures and those specific to the department
- Accurately complete required documentation immediately after completing each case
Qualifications and Requirements
- Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date
- Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certification
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) certification
- Associate Degree in a relevant field
