Job Summary and Qualifications
The Stroke Coordinator is a Registered Nurse who provides support and assists in the delivery of quality patient care for patients at HCA Florida Kendall Hospital. The primary responsibility of the Stroke Coordinator is the continuum of care for the stroke patients. The Stroke Coordinator will ensure continuity between clinical practice and standards of care to patients with neurological disorders. The individual works collaboratively with physicians, nurses and case managers and other health care disciplines utilizing a team approach. This position will serve as a leader, role model and mentor to facilitiate each professional providing care to neurologically effected patients.
This individual will report directly to CNO and VP of Quality and act as an in house clinical consultant regarding excellence in clinical care for this patient population. The coordinator will be responsible for meeting Joint Commission standards and complying with corporate policy and procedure. The coordinator has responsibility for the development and execution of growth strategies for the service lines. Responsible for performance improvement, P&P, physician relations, program development, education and community outreach strategies.
What qualifications you will need:
- Associate Degree, required
- Bachelors Degree, preferred
- 3 to 5 years of experience
- Registered Nurse, required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
