Job Summary and Qualifications
The diagnostic Sonographer is a skilled person qualified by academic and clinical training to provide patient services using diagnostic ultrasound under the supervision of a physician responsible for the use and interpretation of ultrasound procedures.
Requirements
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Graduate of an RDMS accredited program required.
- RDMS Abdomen Specialty, or Registered Radiographer (ARRT), or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or registry eligible within 90 days of hire.
- One year of experience or training in diagnostic ultrasound in at least two specialty areas (Vascular needed; abdomen and OB/GYN preferred).
