Job Summary And Qualifications
What you will do in this role:
- Review employee physical injury occurrences, blood/bodily fluid exposure incidents and maintains complete records
- Coordinates Workers' Compensation, Risk Management and Case Management of injured employees
- Responsible for employee education on rules and regulations regarding employee health, infection control and safety issues
- Manages Worker's Compensation and Employee Health programs in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory agencies
- Coordinates the employee immunization programs
- Medical Screenings for all new hires. Initiates and maintains health records. Ensures titers & other labs are performed per policy.
- Cross-train to fill in when needed on Full Time EE Health role/responsibilities (i.e. work comp), assist with fit testing, flu clinic
- Graduate from an accredited nursing school
- Current State of Florida Registered RN License, or
- Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida Sate Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
- Current BLS certification via American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Previous Employee Health, Occupational Health, and Workers Compensation Experience
- Customer Service; compassion for people
