Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the guidance of the director and with limited supervision and broad general direction, performs supervisory duties within the EKG and Echo Department. She/he is responsible for directing departmental technical activities and staff in the EKG and Echo department. Performs all EKG procedures. Performs all EKG Exams, develops protocols and maintains compliance, orders supplies. Reports and takes action on QI Monitors, and oversees compliance to departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for department work flow and completion of ordered procedures. Trains new employees in EKG and associated functions. Initiates selection of candidates for hire and in disciplinary functions. Performs employee evaluations. Participates in the on-call schedule as assigned. Works with physicians and staff to achieve and maintain ICAEL certification.

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelors Degree
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Vocational School Graduate
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or Registered Vascular Technician (RVT), or Registered Cardiac Sonographer
